On 5th August I ordered a new Picasso 5 seater...

I was told delivery would be late September, early October. But this was later revised to some time in December when orders reached 3 times what was expected and planned for!

This has now been revised again to November.

Whilst in France in August, I saw both the 5-seaters and a 7-seater Grand Picasso at a Citroen garage in Loches. The big one looks absolutely stunning and I wish I had taken a photo (sorry). If anyone is thinking about getting one when it launches here in the New Year, I can promise you that you will not be disappointed with the looks!

I had originally ordered mine in white, but after seeing the cars in the flesh - both of which were in Shark Grey, I have revised my colour choice to Shark Grey!

Congratulations!

Which model did you go for? I had a look around a VTR+ 90HDI the other day and was mightily impressed overall; some bits not as good (gear lever needs to be on the dash) bit overall very impressed - it looks much smaller in the metal than ours too.

Thanks Frank...

I've splashed out and gone for the Exclusive+ e-HDi 115 ETG6. I wanted a 2.0HDi engine, but they are currently only available as a manual and my wife does not want us to have any more manual cars. I think she has been put off by the poke of my current C.5 163 2.0HDi which is manual.

But now we are getting older and still going back and forth to France, we need a more practical car and one that she is happy driving. Hopefully my choice will fit the bill.

Well you can live in hope, but can you ever be right

A very interesting 'Concept' video from Citroen:

Remarkable how much of the car stayed the same!

We are waiting for our local Citroën dealer to tell us they have an Exclusive with the EGS box for us to try.

Can anyone tell me if there is an option for proper roof rails instead of the stupid solid things that we have seen so far? The idea that roof bars can only go in one place is stupid! Great if you are going to carry a roof box, but totally impractible if you want to carry long lengths of wood or a sheet of ply, etc.
