Hi all thanks for all the help from this great site.

I have a new problem before i start the work needing some info.

My lower engine mount needs replaced from what i can see the drive shaft goes through the mount dose the drive shaft need to come of with it?or is there away of avoiding that.

2nd prob is a gearbox oil leak from breather cap on top i've replaced that but still leaking. I'm wondering if Citroen dealer over filled oil when it was in for a clutch assembly around year ago.

Thanks all any help would be great.

I'm using on screen keyboard so sorry if any errors.

matt.

Can't find any Technical Docs other than those for removing the engine and gearbox assembly complete and non of those mention removing a driveshaft to release an engine mounting.

I believe I need to replace the same mount on my car too(same eng/trans as yours) hopefully someone has the answer, as I shudder to think what an aussie dealer will charge for part and fitting- if it cant be sorted out through here.

Hi, well turns out it is the rear lower engine mount but have not sorted yet

Dealer wants £80 for the part then to fit they want and extra £100. but I'll fit it myself but it's getting the part. I have looked on ebay to no luck, only dealer seems to have the part I need :9 so might have to order one from them after all

Hmmm... I'm looking at having my lower engine mount changed as I was getting quite a bit of judder and vibration, despite a recent-ish clutch. I've had the top mount done already, but the lower mount seems like a bigger job (for the reasons discussed above – the driveshaft passes through the mount).

To complicate matters, it seems like the lower mount is a dealer only part, according to my local friendly independent – I'll have to order it from Citroen. Question is, do I have to order the whole mount, or is it possible just to get a replacement bush and press it into the original casting?

OK, so the dealer's quoted me £90 inc VAT for the part (it's not possible to get the bushes separately, you have to buy the whole casting). Fitting at the dealership is £150 plus VAT so I'll see what my local independent can come up with.

Not cheap. If you are fitting it youself than giving a sign to me I will search a video about it.
