 OK found the template image j-c uploaded for the Chevrons:



You need to cut them out with a very sharp craft knife or scalpel

and the picture of it done:

 Cheers for the templates! Once this weather has sorted itself out ill make a start. Think I may just paint them black with the chevrons in white
