Hi all,
just changed my C4 Grand Exclusive 2.0 EGS which I've owned from new
(March 2007) for a 15 month old C4 Grand Exclusive 2.0 full auto.

The only issues I've had with my old pic are : both front door were clicking and the tail gate struts were starting to go rusty. I've had no issues with the air bags and it has been the most reliable car I have ever owned.

The new pic goes like a rocket as it has another 30 bhp and around 50 lbs foot of torque.I realise that the tax is more expensive and economy will be worse but it is so smooth compared to the EGS and on a recent long journey, it averaged 3-4 mpg than my old model. Will update if any issues arise.

Lee.

That's right Dave, got fed up waiting for the new model to come out so decided to buy another of what has been a terrific car. My old C4GP was on the original brakes and even the original rear wiper and exhaust.

The only item I changed was the battery, not even a bulb was replaced! as I tried to say in my original post, the new one is 3-4 mpg worse than my previous and the tax is more expensive but I can buy a lot of diesel and tax with the 12k I saved on my (nearly) new car.

A lot more people should think that way when changing cars.
