When my screen wash runs low there's just no warning on the dash or instrument panel and it soon just runs out and stops working altogether (slightly annoying).

Could this be a bulb \ fuse or problem with a float in the reservoir ? Just wondered if anybody else has (had) the same problem.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

There's no problem - there's no low-level warning system.

Just carry a container with ready mixed screen wash in the boot if your not able to check and top up the reservoir weekly.......

It is annoying, but I'm afraid as previous posters have mentioned, it's not a fault with the sensor in the bottle, there simply isn't one. It caught me off-guard as well when I got my C4, as my previous car had a warning light on the dash when the screenwash reservoir ran low.

If you top up your screenwash when you do your weekly fluids check, you shouldn't ever have a problem as you are unlikely to empty a full tank of screenwash in a week. Nonetheless, it's always worth carrying a litre of pre-mixed screenwash (or a litre of concentrate and a bottle of water) in the boot for emergencies.

Even my DS4 doesn't have a low washer fluid level warning. It seems Citroen only fit them to their higher end models. My 2 C5's and C6 had a level warning.
