Hi folks,

First of all I'm sorry if it sounds like I posted in the wrong section, I know this is destinated to C4 II Sat Nav, but it's the only place at C4O people talk about the RT6...

Well, I recently installed the RT6 eMyWay in my C4 I – I believe you guys in Europe don't know this version of the navi yet, it's the hardware and software of Magneti's RT6 eMyWay fit into a frame similar to Harman Becker's RNEG. It has been designed to fit the C3 Aircross/Picasso cars and it's NOT offered as optional to C4. So far I'm the only one that has done this adaptation on Brazil and shared on the web.

So what I'm willing to know, is that while me and the technician rushed the instalation, I noticed there were some extra options in the navi config menu at DiagBox like climate control, tire pressure monitoring and aux. video output, but I didn't change anything since wasn't my priority at that time.

Has anyone here ever tried enabling those options?

Also, my front and rear factory built parking sensors are a LOT less sensible now with the navi, and the beeps are all the same...any ideas?

(a few more pictures at my gallery)

Cheers!

Interesting. It may be though, that the software version on the C4 generation 1 isn't capable of integrating all the options available on generation 2.

Maybe m3mpower can advise on it as he specialises in the Audio units

Otherwise try the Eurovan II forums.

The old RT4 has most of these options available... but the C4 just doesn't have a capability to use them.

The Air con control is designed for cars who don't have a separate AC control module.
Tyre pressure detection requires the tyre pressure sensor valves. In the UK, these were only fitted to the VTS/Exclusive models. I don't know about Brazilian models.
Video input requires an RCA jack installing to Part B of the quad lock connector, and goes back as far as the RT3.
I think you might have to change the Reverse sensor alert volume via diagbox/lexia though.

A brilliant piece of software existed for the RT4/RT5 - Mirascripts. It allowed all the above to be changed without the use of Lexia/Diagbox. I don't know if it will work on the RT6.

Nice work on the install by the way!!! I did the RT4 install a few years ago myself. Nice to do it yourself isn't it?

Thank you C6Dave, I'll take a look at Eurovan II when it comes back online! I have purchased the Lexia3/DiagBox from UK on eBay, might arrive in a few weeks..can't wait to mess with it heheh

Thanks for the info man, I'll take a look for RTx video input tutorials, so when the Lexia arrives I know what to do!
Here on Brazil the only vehicles that come with tyre pressure detection are Grand C4 Picasso and C5 I think...I might eventually try to fit their system in my car in the future
As for the AC screen that's what I tought...meh

Yeah I read about it in C4atreros and somewhere else, and that they tested it on the RT6 and it doesn't work (yet) :/

Heheh unlike you, I don't deserve such glory..since I had other parts to fit (electric folding mirros and alarm kit), I got helped by a Citroën dealer's technician, I mainly pointed out what he needed to do and did minor stuff (they have like no training on how to install a navidrive here, since only 1 car platform has sat nav option) *shame*

Hi
The RT6 eMyWay in Europe looks completely different than yours, your one looks like RNEG MyWay!

The eMyWay does not have SD card, it has USB, and has streaming via Bluetooth, and is one unit with climate control panel....etc

Also, the eMyWay can't be fitted on CAN C4 I, it can only be fitted on C4 II.

Maybe in Brazil things are different, however, your unit to me looks like MyWay and not eMyWay

Hi f411
I have done some research and double checked your information and found out that:

The RT6, made by Magneti Marelli has been announced to be the replacement of the MyWay during the year 2012, probably between March and July...

The RT6 firmware has been modified to be compatible with CAN, ie C4 I, however, this has not yet been realized and has not yet been seen on new cars!

So yes, you are the first one to have this system, maybe in Brazil they are ahead of Europe ?

Anyway, enjoy your system, well done with the upgrade !

Best regards

M3M, thank you for the information!

I have also heard from a Citroën Brazil engineer that the RT6 is possibly gonna equip the Brazilian version of the DS3 until the end of this year! If so, probably the same will happen in Europe!

Anyways, I've been messing around using the DIAGBOX software and as I had expected, I've been able to unlock some pretty cool functions!

Now I have all the steering wheel commands working properly, even the scroll wheels (one of the best new features is that now I can skip back musics with the upper right scroll wheel);

I also managed to activate the fuel consumption pages (Trip 1, 2 and Instant Information) and they all work properly and can be reseted with the button on the whiper blades regulator;

I've been able to properly enconde my vehicle's VIN this time, so when I turn the navi on, no more Magneti Marelli screen but a beautiful Citroën logo;

Functions and alerts list are also back, and the most interesting is that there is a VIDEO feature! I haven't had time to plug the RCA wires yet, but it seems it will work fine.

There were a few more features that but I didn't have time to mess with them, like rear parking camera, and tyre preassure information...if I can get the parts I'll test them.

Hello! I installed a RNEG/MyWay in my car, I did the coding with diagbox, but there is a problem. My right scroll wheel on the steering does not scroll. It reacts to push (select) but it doesn't scroll. Also, the trip computer doesn't show the 1,2 selections. Do you know what settings do I have to enable with diagbox to get them working? Thank you

Hi Dave. I got a C5 III (I know it's a C4 forum but the computer on the C5 and C4 are the same, and it's the only forum where I found a post regarding the scroll of the wheel and trip info 1,2) Thanks.

Does anybody know the pin-out for the USB-connector on the RT6 head-unit?

Which version of the DiagBox software did you use?

I have accss to a ver. 5.29, but the units listed under Telematics, does not seem to match my RT6 unit.

Was your unit listed as an RT6 or something else?

Amongst other problems, I have the problem that I cannot save the VIN in the satnav.
