I hope to get my new C4 VTR+ soon and have decided on the Garmin 3590LMT sat nav. I have used the Brodit proclip in the past on another car and it worked very well. Has anyone used this clip on the C4? Looking at the installation photos, it does not look as neat as the one I used last time for a TomTom sat nav.

I have two Brodit mounts in my mk1 C4: Vent mount with Garmin balljoint fitting: Citroen C4 driver's side air vent Brodit mount by Chris Green, on Flickr Centre console mount with generic phone holder attached: Citroen C4 Brodit Centre Console mount by Chris Green, on Flickr |

Thanks for the reply. There are two proclips available for the new C4, both are in different positions to yours. I think I would go for the one that uses the centre vents, just wanted to know how it looked the the car with the Garmin holder. |

Hi Steve, I have a spare Brodit clip for the C4 (mines a Coupe) that fits to the side of the radio console, as in Commodores 2nd picture. You can have it FOC, as I didn't like so low as I spend most of the time satin the passenger seat. I now use a Brodit Centre holder. If you want it PM me your address and I'll post it on. It will have a few screw holes in it from previous use, but they will get covered up with use. If Steve doesn't want it then anyone in the UK, can PM me and I'll form a queue. |

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated, but Dave is right, it won't fit the new model. It's a pity because, for me, it would be a perfect location. |

I believe for the new C4 (might be listed under DS4, but it fits both) there is a Brodit mount that attaches to the drivers side A-pillar. I would recommend that one as it is both a good viewing position and won't obscure airflow from any of the vents.

Missed the 'new' bit. Offer still applies for the clip of anybody any it, it's sat in my office doing nothing and I won't use. |

The last car I used one of these in was a Kia Ceed and had it mounted low down near the stereo. |

Personally, I don't like those mounts that go on the dash or actual glass, they look, well, 'Naff' and cheap to me. As for that one linked to, I did once try something similar and it was.... useless. Personally I would invest in a good 'Pro Clip' mount. |

I would have to agree with you. Anything lying loose is dangerous in a sudden stop. The Brodit mounts are well made and a good solid fix.

I have got the Garmin 3590 and the matching Brodit prolclip and mount. I have attached some photos of each stage and I think it is in a really handy spot, a bit higher than the Citroen fitted unit. |
