I cannot get my smartphone (HTC Desire S) sat nav app to work with Bluetooth. I don't get any audio through my car speakers. Any thoughts please.

Need more information. What type of C4 do you have? is it the standard bluetooth or an aftermarket head unit?

I have a 2011 1.6hdi 90bhp 5 door C4. It is the standard bluetooth unit.

Now i'm not sure if they changed the bluetooth units for the face lifted versions but I don't think they can actually support bluetooth audio streaming.

I could well be wrong though

I think i read somewhere that it does allow audio streaming via bluetooth.

I will try to find it....

I don't think that the audio off the sat nav app will work.

Unless you can change the settings of the app to send audio via bluetooth, then I think you are stuck.

I might be wrong, I hopefully get my car on the 1st August, so I might be able to let you know more then.

It is the copilot live premium app with live traffic.

It might be a case of having to set the program to send commands etc via bluetooth instead of the speaker.

I presume that the audio from the satnav app is heard through the phones speaker?

Have a look in the app's settings and see if you can send audio via bluetooth?

have same issue myself. so last weekend got a cheap FM transmitter from poundstreachers and connected by 3.5mm jack. Even though plays music from phone that way, when u start co pilot it cuts music off and you get sat nav through htc desire speakers.

You could try something like 'Bluetooth Manager' in the Apps market.

Just search the name and it looks possible to work.
