I have sold my 19" alloys now and looking to buy some Resolfens.

I will be changing the colour though as i don't really want to have the standard silver wheels on my car and can only find pictures of others in black, white and anthracite.

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen some in something like a candy red colour? Or maybe in blue?

I fancy something different and thought I could colour code my chevrons and badges with the colour of the wheels.

If the consensus is that it will look naff then I will just go black like my other wheels.

Comments please, and pics if there are any in existence would be great!!

pretty sure you would be the first Mike but I have to say coloured wheels look good on the right car, not sure the subtle lines and especially the black on black on black of your car would carry it very well.

It's been mentioned once or twice on here a while back, but you can buy what's essentially a spray on paint.

It's not actually paint, more like a sprayable coloured plastic film but it looks fairly durable. And when you get bored of it, or want to sell the wheels on, you just rip the film off the wheel.

It's called plastidip: theres a few videos on youtube of it to give you an idea:

Looks a useful product.
I would have taken the wheel off the car and made a better job of masking off the tyre.
White wall tyres are so Huggy Bear
Not to mention the overspray on the brakes and potential bodywork.

then if you like the look, you can simply peel off and get them permanently powder coated in the colour of choice.

I like the idea of that!! Would definately be the most cost effective way of seeing what they would look like.

Agreed more care should be taken to prevent over spray!!

Thanks guys.

plasti dip is good stuff i have it on my wheels, the normal colours are limited to simple ones, but you can buy a kit to mix your own and a top coat to make it glossy as standard its matte

Jayunknown - What colour have you done your wheels?

Ive watched a few videos now and it looks really easy to use.

Here is a quick photoshop I did of red wheels on a black C4. It isnt a hatch like mine but seen as though I dont have my resolfens yet and I cant find a single picture anywhere of a black c4 hatch lowered on them it will have to do.

Opinions please.

Got my resolfens coming next week. I will take some pics when they're on and do some more photoshopping.

Im thinking I might give this plastidip stuff a go. I had a look on the site and you can get a can of metaliser which you add as a top coat to give them a gloss look rather than the standard matt look.
