Time for a bit of an update here, it's been a while...

The C4 by Loeb is running fine and nothing to report there at all - a great car and I'm really glad I bought it. Tax'ed it for a year yesterday too so it's definitely staying...

Looking forward to taking it to the CCC CX, XM and Xantia Rally next weekend as that should be very good. Starting cleaning it today...

Expect plenty of pictures from next weekend of the C4...

Well was a great weekend at the CCC CX, XM and Xantia Rally. A few pics below of just the Loeb:

In other news, I parked in my usual carpark today and when I pulled in notice this!

Couldn't resist parking next to it...

This weekend sees the Loeb getting a full valet...

Well it was rather dirty...

But with a bit of elbow grease it's shining again...

...and one of the dials, as I like them!

Seeing the chat of cleaning and detailing I realised I hadn't posted these pictures up as to what my Loeb looked like a few weeks ago!

And then a couple of days afterwards it was like this...

Some fun fen backroads that were full of muddy puddles!

A couple of times along that road and others around there meant that it resulted in the above...

I have the possibility to upgrade from my current 2007 C4 by Loeb to the facelift 2010 C4 by Loeb...

Normally I wouldn't look at the facelift cars due to them being completely out of my price range however in the next week or so I will have the opportunity to consider upgrading to a 2010 version that is one lady owner from new and low sensible miles too, and the main attraction is the price which is very tempting indeed for a facelift car that is still even in warranty!

We'll see what happens and what I decide to do, it's a Black one with the Black Wheels so a bit different from my current Sport Red with White Wheels however does look quite smart. I've not actually seen up close a facelift Loeb so it will be interesting and I wonder if it can sway me. Also it features the later 1.6 16v Petrol engine with 120BHP as opposed to the older 110BHP unit - not much, I know, but...

The engine is completely different, so some people don't like it as much as the TU.

Otherwise, expect reduce spec compared to yours. Interior isn't anywhere near as nice either. Also no rev counter like you have now.

Really not a fan of the facelift. Don't even think the front bumper looks nicer to be honest.

The interior of them is the biggest put off though.

Thanks for that Wozza and interesting - I didn't realise it was a completely different engine set up!

What is drawing me towards this car is that for not a lot more money I can get a car that is three years newer, has covered less mileage and is one lady owner from new in mint condition - and all other similar advertised cars are much much more money...

I will have to seriously consider it when I see it however there is a lot of incentive as outline above... We'll see...

There's lots of plus points to go for it, although will heart rule head and the red one stays...

I've not properly seen one in the flesh so we will see what I think about it...

Have you looked at this black Loeb yet? I have to say I don't like the big decals on the doors of the facelift, does this one have that? what are the seats like on this, are they red as well or all black? Also as Wozza says, the central tacho seems a retrograde step & I imagine it does not go red as you approach the red line. I can't help but think that you will lose too much money on the change to make it worth it unless you REALLY like the black one.
By the way, if you really like the red interior, how about this one?

The seats do indeed still have some red elements however changed a little and arguably "not as nice" however all down to opinion either way of course...

I'm drawn towards the "upgrade" due to the incentive of the price so not too bad.

We will see, and as you say, it will have to make a good impression on me...

Bit too red that one!!!

Got back earlier after being away for a little while visiting family up north in "sunny" Heysham, just east of Lancaster. Haven't been up there before and was nice to see some new places including the well talked about Lake District too. There's certainly some fabulous roads and scenery up there including the Coniston Lake and the Windmere Lake too.

The C4 Loeb was used and it performed flawlessly - 800 Miles covered from Monday to Thursday and never missed a beat at all. Definitely has me swaying even more to keeping it...

Here's a pic of it by, I think, the Windmere Lake:

...and another on Morecambe sea-front:

Saw quite a few C4s up there actually including some VTS's..
