Ok since I have had the car it has suffered from intermittent power loss mainly when under hard acceleration or going up hill and intermittent hunting at low revs.

The fault codes that seem to keep on popping up is P0238, P2562 and P2563 with engine light on and Depollution Error on RT3 Display (I have checked these on the error code search)

The garage has checked replaced nearly ever sensor and valve associated with the fault codes and even a new turbo did not solve the problem, have checked all the pipes for leaks and still cannot solve the problem.

If any one else has had the same problem and can tell me how they fixed it then I can maybe put a list of faults and the garage could check again in case they have missed some thing.

Any help appreciated as after over 3 months this is really getting me down as I don't want to have to get rid of it as I love the car.

Don't know a lot sorry, found these on the site using the search though:

P0238 Turbo pressure (downstream of heat exchanger) short circuit to positive or open circuit

P2562 - Turbocharger Boost Contrl Position Sensor Circuit

P2563 - Negative gap between the reference turbo position and the position measured

Don't suppose that will catch the eye of someone with more wisdom?

Ok the local garage has tried again and Citroen have tried to locate the problem and still no luck.

So i have found a Independent Citroen Specialists called Citromatic they are 40 miles away in Stockton on Tees and is booked in on Monday morning for them to have a look, heard good reports about them so fingers crossed.

Ok got a call from Citromatic today and they have fixed my power loss problem, the first thing they found was the Eolys was depleted and the DPF filter was blocked they fixed this but this was not causing the power loss problem, they found the Turbo Electovalve was defective, replaced and the car is fixed.

Picked the car up today and cannot believe the difference, it's like driving a new car, no hunting or power loss, the car picks up great and turbo kicking in as it should.

Thank you Citromatic.

Hi there.. I have the exact same fault codes on my 407 2.0 HDi, but I can't get rid of them.

I changed turbo vacum actuator, repeat sensor and the vacum solenoid on the rear of the engine that connects to the turbo vacum actuator.
Also changed map sensor due to that P0238 but it is not helping at all.

Are there even more solenoids that can influence on the control of the turbo? I'm getting quite lost now, probably the same as you in your first post. Car drives fine sometimes, but throttle response is very unpredictable, and sometimes it just is not much response at all.

Ok there is 3 electro valves on the car, the valve you need to replace is the one at the rear of the engine drivers side.

Initially my local garage replaced this and i still had the problem and then took it to an independent citroen specialist for them to look at, the electrovalve the garage had replaced was the wrong part number, citroen specialist ordered the correct electro valve replaced and everything was ok.

So first of all make sure it is the electrovalve at the rear of the engine drivers side you have replaced and it is the correct part number, also make sure the connections on the valve are correct, quite easy to mix them up.

Ah thanks for your prompt answer. Sadly I already have replaced that valve. It's at the rear of engine at the right side if you look in the driving direction.

I'll get a turbo boost / vac gauge today and measure the vacum in the system, but all the tests I've done indicate that there is sufficient vacum in the system...

It's the turbo position repeat value on mine that will not follow signal properly.

Also it is a bit strange that on all the faults that are logged in the ECU the Air temp registered within the MAF sensor i either -50C or +180C (which is quite amusing), and the turbo position repeat signal is usually about -75%, whereas I thought this signal should only operate between 0% and 100% mine is showing negative numbers which is quite odd.

The car is now booked in to the dealer on monday, but I must say I doubt they will be able to give me a quick solution I've had this since may 2012 and I start getting tired of not beeing able to overtake cars due to the risk of suddenly loosing power.

Btw. I only saw one more electrovalve, at front close to AC pump, but maybe there are two there in a cluster? Or is the third one hidden good somewhere?

Hi all I have just solved my lack of power whilst checking the turbo electrovalve at the back of the engine I found the rubber pipes that hold the vac pipes (one to the turbo) they had oil on them and expanded so the vac pipes had just slipped out so I replaced the rubbers and all sorted now .This might help someone else
