Just changed my C3 Picasso to a new C4 120 Auto. Exactly the same distorted/crackling on the bluetooth streaming, but all other audio inputs work perfectly fine. Been to the dealer, tech guy on training, returning car on Monday to have it looked at again, will report on result.

It looks as though there isn't a solution to this problem. Personally, I've given up! My car's a contract rental and goes back in September, so I more or less don't care anymore. It's due a service in 1k miles, so I might ask the dealer to have another go, for whatever it's worth

How loud do you have your phone set when streaming? Remember the phones volume will effect the output, and sometimes having the phone turned up to max can result in lower audio quality. Noticed it on the C3 I had as a courtesy car when I paired my phone up to that. |

Thanks, but that was mentioned previously and ruled out as the problem.

I didn't look through the thread to be honest. Tried other phones? Is it the same with them? As it sounded alright once I had messed with the courtesy car. |

Has this Bluetooth audio problem actually been resolved yet as I have a C4 2012 vtr + and the audio sounds shocking when using the Bluetooth function

Sadly not resolved, the local dealer seems incapable of upgrading the car's software which was a suspected problem though they couldn't be sure. I had it there twice for the paid-for software upgrade, after which they said they'll phone me when they ready to do it for free. This was nearly three years ago, and at subsequent services I reminded them. Nothing. Quite frankly they have proved indifferent to the problem and to service delivery as a whole. This is very sad, as apart from that problem I love my C4. Great product, terrible support. It will be the last Citroën I buy.

Interesting thread.. I have the same probem with my C4 II from 2011. Such a shame its so tricky to find a good solution to keep the original functions like making a phone call while listening to music from the phone.. And I don't dare to buy one of those chinese head units.. Guess it's USB and AUX that will have to do it. |
