Wow what a nightmare.The old case of pass the buck and s*d the consumer.
It doesn't look an easy case to solve and might not prove cost effective to get a solicitor/lawyer involved and even if it is it could be a long drawn out process!

 BSI is in the engine bay so how was it "hanging down in the passenger footwell"?

Insurance company won't pay out because it was an electrical fault that caused a fire?

All very strange and not something that we are going to be involved in as it's going to need a lawyer to sort out.
