What's the best snow/ice cover to fit a new C4? I notice Lidl have some on offer soon (next week) but the type they sell does not suit this cars with rear aerial. Any recommendations on simple snow cover? |

Or fit a stubby one and make a small hole. Not going to cause much of an issue with a small hole around the aerial.

Following my use of a 'car cap' on the C6 last winter, be careful with cheap covers, they can freeze to the car, the fasteners can scratch paintwork etc. Any cover shouldn't be on long term either unless it's made from a 'breathable' material I would also only fit one if the weather forecast is actually for frost or snow |

More trouble than they are worth. Just use an old sheet on the windscreen. |

The cheap ones are very poor - especially it's wet and it then freezes.

And if it's a fabric cover, you've potentially got a damp cover to put back on your car at the end of the day (not much use when it's icy).

I beg to differ on this occasion Our house was built 1989 and I have had a Vectra, Volvo S40, Pug 207cc and a C4 in over the years, no problem The Morris Minor is in as I write and I can walk around it with the door closed 5 of the 7 neighbours though use their's as an actual garage, 1 who keeps his Porche in it, the other a 3 series BMW, the rest though, are storage for j***k |

We have a 1930s house and a 1950s garage. The C4 can only just squeeze past the house, and would just about fit in the garage if it wasn't full of logs.

The C4 fitted in ours ok. Enough room to open the Coupe doors (not fully) to get in and get the car out, with enough room at the back for the car wash gear, washer and other oddments and room to get to the boot. The boot lid fully without worrying it would hit the ceiling. Its not a big garage either. As for the 500 fitting in it... Whilst I understand that some people have a necessity/wish to convert but those full of junk...why keep it all if its just that ..junk? |
