Hi this might help somebody. The Garrett GT1544V Turbocharger is fitted to the 1.6HDi engines used in the C4 and various Fords and Volvos. There is a UK based supplier of spare parts with ample stocks should anyone need to repair/overhaul a unit. Try Turborebuild.co.uk - Click Here - is an example of a kit of parts. Regards G |

Hi all, just looking at the parts costs on the website:- New Compressor wheel £50, New Turbine and shaft £100, bearings and seals kit £50, Plus they offer balancing for £40. Assuming casings, inlet guide vanes are OK, thats a refurbished Turbo for £200. Worth a go?? Regards G |
