Hi there, I have a power problem that developed yesterday. Lost power, like a turbo gone, would gain speed up to cruising speed, but very slowly. Engine unhappy to rev past 3k, but will in idle if you boot it. Breakdown chap said turbo was OK, but there is some sort of valve/actuator gizmo that sits below the turbo unit that he said should be pistoning up and down, but was stuck and not moving at all. Can anyone tell me what this component is and whether it can be removed, cleaned etc. It's bolted on immediately below the turbo on its own bracket and has a threaded shaft poking out of it that runs up towards the turbo and has an adjusting nut on it. A thin pipe runs from it back into the engine bay. It's about the size of a small cup cake, circular and about two inches thick. Many thanks, Al |

That is the 'Turbo Actuator' That could be the issue, but it could be a sticking EGR valve or a sensor. A fault code would be useful to narrow it down |
