I was asked to create this thread so users could look and see what various cars looked like lowered. There are numerous threads if you search - Click Here - But to make life easier - What does a lowered C4 look like: 35/30 drop Sonny's 45/35 drop 25/30 drop - Eibach Pro springs JonM's Lowered Loeb wozza's 180 VTS on Bilstein B14 coilovers -"dropped 60mm that's 60mm ontop of the standard VTS lowering. So probably closer to 70 - 80mm on the normal models." Ham's standard VTS for comparison. Spooners VTS on coilovers "kit is from 40mm to 110mm and its all the way down at the back and half way on front" To clarify: Lowering springs come in fixed sizes, 'coilovers' are adjustable. Don't skimp on the cost, Eibach tend to be better quality and you can get 'Pro'(-25/30 mm) and 'Sportline' (-45/50mm) than Spax springs, and Bilstiens are the better coilovers. |

Thanks dave.. guess this was from my thread "Discussion" Very helpful. Go to say Wozza's looks stunning, would be a bit too low for around my area though with stupid roads and speed bumps. If you can get hold of a pic with 45/45 drop it would be great |

The nearest is Sonny's 45/35. See above, black coupe with the panoramic roof.

My street has speed bumps on it...it's fine no problem getting over them. Or getting around the multistory car parks either. Coilover wise though I would only touch the KW V1 / Eibach Pro Street S(Virtually the same kit) Bilstein B14's H&R's (Bilstein and H&R share parts.) Weitec (cheaper KW) There are a few FK kits with adjust ability etc as well |

Hey guys, just before I go ahead and commit myself to it I was wanting to clarify a few things; The picture with the Eibach Prolines 25/30, am I right in saying they almost look at low as JonM's Loeb? I would quite like to get an in between for my VTR HDi, as I'm adding a splitter and there's a few sleeping policemen around here. And lastly, the 307 Eibach springs DO work on C4's for definite? Thanks. |

Bilsteins can be expensive some places £1100 ish. I paid £580 for mine, got them from balance motorsport when they had a special offer then due to supply issues got even more money off. As bilstein themselves messed up. C4Darren 307 springs should be interchangeable with the C4 as are dampers and a few other bits and pieces |

Reviving the need to lower my c4!! Want to drop it as low as wozzas vts, but 60/60 is coilover money isnt it? Anything close to that without coilovers im looking at.. so low springs and dampers for the cheaper lowering springs option. any help appreciated |

Won't get that low with just springs, standard dampers wouldn't be too happy either. If you just want low get something like a set of vmaxx coilovers. Will give you the looks. Just won't have the handling of the Bilsteins etc. |

Tom's put in another post that 50mm springs for 307 will fit, if coilover prices are out of reach??

I have a lowered car at the moment, ok it's not a C4 but I have had to replace all the CV boots in the last 12 months due to it being lowered and running the axles at a tighter angle in relation to the gearbox and wheel hubs/CV joints, I know this won't bother most people but it is something to consider before going too far with the lowering. |

It's a well known problem with Saxos, but C4s seem OK. |

Others have gone lower (up to 60mm) and no one has yet reported any major issues |

Cool ! might do mine at a later date too. Must be the design allowing less stress on the boots on the C4.
