Afternoon all

On my quest to find an unabused example of a GP I have seen quite a few. Finally settled on a 57 plate 31k VTR+ in Gold, ex motability.

One thing I've noticed is a problem/feature with the vast majority of bonnets.

The shut line on the nearside is almost always larger than that on the offside. The nearside edge has lifted.

The bonnet is made of aluminium, not the stiffest of metals.

On opening the bonnet of my vehicle, it's quite obvious where the problem lies... The support rod is located as near as damn it to the fulcrum of the nearside hinge!!! Which genius thought that would be a good idea???

I looked at that and thought Citroen must have been trying to save weight.

Fair enough on weight saving but couldn't they have fitted a longer support further away from the hinge?
