These LEDs ones will do the job: - Click Here -

Yes, you MAY get the warning in the log... but it doesn't pop up and isn't obtrusive. It only appears in the log when you actually go look for it. The top LED will only be lit for about 30 secs after turning off and isn't noticeable anyway. Really they are minor things (I won't even class them as problems, just "things").

I've just ordered a set of these to see if they work ok in mine, they're from a different seller than the ones I got so might be a different brand and not turn blue fingers crossed!

OK amjl, fair point.

If I can get this working, I've just been out and taken the photo's below:

They are taken with a camera phone in the rain, but hopefully they are good enough to get the impression.
For a £3 experiment, I'm pretty pleased with the results.

In fact, having a second look at the photo's just now, I'm really pleased with results.

And the bonus is that running the diagnostics or checking the Warning Log doesn't bring up any errors.

Got my bulbs today but they were a little loose in the holders so were going on and off. Looked good when they were actually on though !

They're looking pretty good, I might go ahead. Those ones look like you could actually see them in daylight!

[edit] mine are on order!

I had a similar problem with the bulbs being a little loose in the holders.

Sorted it by just bending the wires out if the little grooves in the white plastic so they stood slightly proud-er and were properly gripped by the metal in the connector.

(Does that all make sense?)

Not a problem after that at all.

Yes that makes sense, will try that during the weekend sometime!

Got some others on order just for comparison, they were only 99p so no great loss but only got them interest sake.

In keeping with this all being done on the cheap, found these on flea-bay.

Might have to invest in another 3 quid to see if they get rid of the yellow-ish tint to the head lights. Not sure I can stretch to it though

Having said that, if I do get a set, that means I would have to spend another happy 3 hours trying to swap those flippin head-light bulbs!

Let us all know if you get them and how they look/perform.
Maybe i'm just unlucky but my C4 eats bulbs for breakfast, so at £3 inc P/P they are a bargain.

OK, in the interests of continuing the cheap experiment (and to possibly find a new source of bulbs for clive) I've invested another £2.78 and bought some of the "mega-white" bulbs I gave the link to earlier.

As previous, I will get some photo's and report back when they come through.

Got those Headlight bulbs was worried as they were blue. When fitted they ain't . Got a bit of a tint only at certain angles. They look good with the led side lights. Try and get a pic on later.

Heres a few of mine (with the Xenons). These have been used for probably about 16 months now (in a VTR+ and now my VTS). Can't say that they've gone blue at all really.

1st: The slight glow after turning lights off
2nd: Sidelights only
3rd: Sidelight + Xenon dipped beam

My LED sidelights came yesterday and I fitted them in under 5 mins.. just a little filing needed..

Will post some pics tomorrow when I get my camera back but it has made the dipped lights look way way to yellow...

Have ordered some of these from ebay that will take another 2 weeks to come through but Ill see how they do.. Will probably take me an hour to fit though!!
