There are ways to fix this even with HP at least, I have not done it but seen it on some site. You need some files from the "bigger" brothers, but these are available. Do not have the link to this info but I believe you can find it if you google it! |

I am having the same problem on my 57 C4GP. Is there anyone near Aylesbury in Bucks who has the Lexia software?

I have just done a egs gearbox recalibration, but my 2007 c4 still seems to have a slight judder on start off with very light throttle and more noticalbe reverseing uphill the car has covered 110,000 miles and i just recently purchased it, just 10,000 ago it shows that a gearbox calibration was done at a citeron main dealer my question was how do you no how to apply 80-110 torque to the throttle, and is it a half throttle from rest , wight until you see and feel the change to 2nd gear then stop, then of course repeat three times on my lexia the info has been updated for the egs programming, stating 5 stop and starts and 4 batches of these with 5 mins wait inbetwwen i just think that maybe i have not done the calibartaon correctly |

I was looking at this as today the Citroen dealer says there no faults on my 2007 1.6HDI VTR+ EGS but need a new clutch for £1500! I am not sure thay did it properly and are trying to get me to spend money there. Are these Lexia 3 easy to use?

I just need some clarification before I start spending money. I have a Grand C4 Picasso 6 speed semi auto. I live in France. Slow starts are becoming increasingly difficult though the gearbox behaves fine on the open road. Its a high kms 200K. So if I buy one of these Lexia units and I presume in conjunction with a laptop, I should be able to reset the gearbox as per the above instructions. Thanks in advance.

Yes you should be able to re calibrated the EGS gearbox, but you need to follow the instructions carefully. It may actually be cheaper to have a dealer do it for you (around £40-50 in the UK) than the up front cost of Lexia |

Thanks for this C6 Dave. I live in France and while my French is good its not that good to go into the technical side of getting this job done. I am a qualified motor mechanic [retired] so whilst modern cars and a bit of a mystery I would like to give this a go. So besides the Lexia kit I will need a lap top too , is that right.

Proud owner of a Lexia now, latest software, validated OK but get the attached message when connecting to the car. If I had hair I would be pulling it out. Anyone any ideas? |

Silly question here, is the usb recognised on your laptop with the drivers installed, and is the other end attached firmly into the OBD. There were versions of the lead that had dodgy fittings to the OBD socket |

The unit [via USB] is recognised by the lap top. The cables are new and seem to fit snug. But no matter what I try I get the message in the screen print.

Doesn't Lexia require a 'pin code' or similar to activate it before it will communicate with the car? I'm sure Biohead posted something on it before....... Or am I thinking of something else entirely? |

It hasn't asked for a code. The software activated OK and updated over the web without any issues.
