Have had what appears to be a common fault with the ESP/ABS light coming on until switch off. then resetting. Have today ordered the new switch and parts from Bollingmores. Apparently there is an official instruction on the fitting of the modified loom. Wondered if anyone has any details of this and where it is fitted? Thanks for any help.

Mind you, it`s only 3 days old..excellent guide..really useful! On another note, even if a car is out of warranty, do the recalls have to be done "free"?

6582GA Addition Loom - RRP £26.65 453463 Switch-Brake - RRP £6.67 453467 for the kit combined. RRP £30.12 = £3.50 cheaper. Prices will vary due to Citroen pricing policy, exchange rates, Vat changes, dealers pricing policy, etc. etc. and are for guidance only All now in the FAQ here: - Click Here - BTW there are newer threads on the subject than this one with the detail in as well. For around £7.00 fit a new one. |

Arnold quoted me £74.93 to replace, even though it is classed as Safety Critical, it is not covered on the extended warranty. I walked round to the parts department and ordered the ki,t for around £33, to fit myself. C4 2.0HDI VTR+ hatch |

I've just been to my local Peugeot dealer and bought 453467 combined kit for £26.77 inc VAT and also got some advice for fitting the loom. They said to make sure the extra loom is tucked away correctly as there is now about an additional 18" of loom that wasn't there before and it can interfere with the switch if you're not careful. They would also charge half hour labour if they were to fit. Hope this helps

I have the same problem with my C4 Picasso, 2007. The switch doesn't appear to be in the location specified in the instructions. Does anyone have any idea where on my C4 Picasso I will find it? I promise to write and photograph similar instructions referring to my model. Thanks |

Hi Jerrybuilt, I also have 2007 C4 GP. Been looking for this switch for a few days and have just discovered it! The photos in other threads omit one important stage. After removing the cover from the footwell there is a black plastic cover with nuts on long bolts. Remove the nuts and carefully prise the cover off. Hey presto you will find the brake switch underneath. I'll try and post a photo of the black cover. |

The guide was written just for the Coupe and hatchback, i never intended to do a guide for the C4 Picasso as i don't own one and nobody at the time had problems on the Picasso unlike the Coupe and Hatchback. |
