Okay, I had the car serviced at my local Citroen dealer on Monday and it's been lovely to drive since then, but this afternoon on the way to work the Cruise-Control cut out and showed a 'Speed Control faulty' on the screen, followed by another beep and another message proclaiming ' Depollution System Faulty'.

I turned the cruise-control off and back on and it's fine, but the ' Depollution System Faulty' message is still showing and logged in the 'Fault Log' and the little orange engine logo is lit up. Car feels fine to drive and I did red-line it on the way home, but to no avail, it's still showing.

I know this is probably an impossible question to answer given the lack of proper information and the nature of modern cars, but has anybody got any ideas? Ta.

Could have just been a blip.

Did it clear when restarting the engine?

Still showing last night, will look this morning as I'm off to work shortly. I replaced the brake switch last week as it kept showing an ABS/ ESP fault that has now gone. Thanks chaps

Okay, an update on above's 'fault'. Was still showing when I was driving to work this morning and when I went out on an assessment visit But when I left the hospital to return to 'base' the 'fault' had cleared itself and so far hasn't returned

Morning all,

Mrs has just rang me saying she has just got this ' Depollution System Faulty' warning on the lcd screen and beeps and lights on dash, shes said the car wont move as such like low speed high gear up hill!

Shes calling the AA now, right so in theroy reading the above im guessing the 3 parts shown in c6 daves link will fix the problem?

Kind of kicking myself so hard...really wish i had brought lexia

Its a 1.6 vtr + on a 56 plate with 84 or 5 ish k, just have a new clutch :|

P.s my VTS somtimes gives the cruise control speed faulty, goes away when you turn cruise control off and does not log in warning system via radio, its only turned itself off twice, is that just the brake switch as above?

Ben

Need to know exactly which engine you've got. (VIN Number gives the definitive spec.)

But for the 1.6 i 16v 110 (TU5JP4), full retail price is around £93 + VAT for the "5970.A0 Ignition Coil". Fitting and maybe spark plugs are extra.

P1336 and p1340 (ive checked codes) long story short it will be the plugs... At a good guess!

Mine did exactly the same. Depollution faulty and ran like a pig. Changed the coil pack and was back to new. Also sorted out the problem i had with some really annoying flat spots on acceleration! Got the pack from eurocarparts as at the time there was a 30% discount or something so ended up being a little under £70!
